Terms of Service
These terms explain how The Forge handles free static website previews, Host My HTML review, optional hosting, customer content, payments, and account limits.
Free Website Build
The website request, first private preview, reasonable review handling, and downloadable HTML are free. The Forge may decline or pause requests that are unsuitable for a static business website, unsafe, unlawful, abusive, or outside the available service scope.
Optional Hosting
Hosting is optional. The early-bird hosting price is GBP 3 per month unless a different price is agreed in writing. Hosting starts after the customer approves the preview and either pays through Stripe or receives a complimentary hosting credit from an admin.
DNS And Live Publishing
DNS instructions unlock only after hosting is active and the site has a live hosted version. Customers are responsible for owning or controlling their domain name and making DNS changes at the active DNS/nameserver provider.
One Active Site
Each customer account may have one active site or request. Starting a completely new request after confirmation replaces the old project and removes old preview/live files where possible, while audit and billing records may remain.
Static-Site Scope
The Forge service covers static business websites and reviewed static HTML uploads. Ecommerce systems, custom server apps, dynamic databases, customer server code, mailbox hosting, WordPress-style plugin systems, illegal content, malware, phishing, and abusive traffic are outside the service.
Customer Content
Customers must provide accurate business information and must only upload images, logos, copy, HTML, or other files they have the right to use. The Forge can remove or refuse content that creates legal, security, spam, or platform-risk concerns.
Payments And Cancellation
Paid hosting checkout and card handling are processed by Stripe. The Forge does not store full card details. Customers can manage payment details or cancel hosting through the Stripe portal or support. Cancellation may stop live hosting and DNS support after the paid or credited period ends.
Previews, Cleanup, And Backups
Released previews are visible for 48 hours. Unpaid preview files may be retained for a short recovery window and then deleted. Backups and audit records may exist for operational recovery, fraud prevention, security, or legal reasons.
Support And Changes
Reasonable content edits and review requests are included. Large redesigns, new services beyond the original brief, repeated rebuilds, or custom development may require a new request, a separate quote, or admin approval.
